Below is a question raised by a prospective buyer, owner or seller of Florida property and the advice we were able to give:
Lake Berkley Resort Kissimmee – Short Term Rental
Hi there, I’m looking to buy a house and have been attracted to the above resort. I will be using the house myself for vacations but will also rent it out on a short term basis. I am wondering if the resort/area is nice for tourists or would I be best looking elsewhere. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance,
Answer:
Lake Berkley is a nice community and at the moment seems to be a great value. It is one of the first resort style communities completed by Park Square Homes. The other one is Southern Dunes in Haines City.
They have since done several more, each one slightly different/better? than the one before. The latest are Bella Vida and Watersong.
It really depends on your preference and balancing that with the renters preferences. Resort type communities are really gaining acceptance so Lake Berkley fits that image. It is also within walking distance to a Wal-Mart. Within 1 mile there are too many eateries to count!
Renters perceptions will vary greatly so I wouldn’t worry as much about that. Many renters and buyers seem to think Emerald Island and Formosa Gardens area is the most sought after location. The funny point about that is that Lake Berkley is very close to a Disney gate as well, so go figure!
If you have fallen in love with Lake Berkley and are going to help with bookings I would go for it. If you are on the fence and want to consider other options give me a call! 407-908-8023.
